PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS
A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is the standard for evaluating the environmental liability associated with an industrial, commercial, or mixed use asset. Birchwood Environmental will identify potential or existing environmental contamination liabilities and satisfy the requirements of CERCLA’s (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act) innocent land owner defense under All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI). Birchwood Environmental implements the ASTM E1527 Standard, current with the 2021 requirements. Our Phase I Environmental Site Assessments are performed by Environmental Professionals who meet the requirements of the EPA's AAI Standard.

TRANSACTION SCREEN ANALYSIS
The ASTM Transaction Screen (ASTM 1528 – 22) is used when a client does not require the investigation of a Phase I Environmental Assessment, and would prefer a less detailed and in-depth investigation. Birchwood Environmental provides the limited investigation Transaction Screen Analysis following the ASTM standard.
